In November 2023, a landmark trade agreement was signed between Saudi Arabia’s AHQ & Sons Group and Australia’s SSS Group, marking a significant milestone in the economic partnership between the two nations. Facilitated by Sam Jamsheedi, this deal is set to enhance trade relations and industrial cooperation, with its first phase valued at US$27 million.
Under the agreement, SSS Group will manufacture and produce scaffolding systems within Saudi Arabia, contributing to the Kingdom’s growing industrial sector. In its first year, the company aims to produce 12,000 tons of scaffolding, with plans to scale up production to between 50,000 and 80,000 tons by the third year. These scaffolding systems will be distributed locally within Saudi Arabia and exported to Australia and other international markets, reinforcing the Kingdom’s position as a key manufacturing hub.
The signing ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials from both Australia and Saudi Arabia, reflecting the importance of this strategic partnership. Among the distinguished attendees were Mr. Suliman Mazroui, CEO of Saudi Arabia’s National Industrial Development Program, and His Excellency Mark Donovan, the Australian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. Their presence underscored the significance of this agreement in driving economic collaboration and strengthening ties between the two nations.
This partnership aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 industrial diversification strategy and Australia’s commitment to expanding its global trade footprint. By fostering manufacturing capabilities within the Kingdom, the agreement not only boosts local production but also creates new opportunities for knowledge exchange, investment, and job creation.
As both countries continue to deepen their economic ties, agreements like this serve as a testament to the growing synergy between Australian and Saudi enterprises. The deal is expected to pave the way for future collaborations in industrial manufacturing and infrastructure development, reinforcing long-term economic cooperation between the two nations.
